Took my 8 yr old daughter to see the NHRA Friday night in StL. She is super sensitive to noise but really wanted to go. Had her wear ear plugs and gun muffs and all was well. We had an absolute blast and I highly recommend going to see them if you never have. It is simply put, undescribable. Plus, the access to the cars is second to none. Every ticket is a pit pass and you can literally stand 5 feet from the crew rebuild an engine. Anyways, on to pictures, first batch are ones I took.
Then, she wanted to take some. She has shown an interest over the last year in learning photography, and panning shots are very hard, especially at 300+mph. Then she went and got better shots than I.
Then the icing on the cake, Saturday I picked up a pair of non running Kymco 90 4 wheelers for a decent price. We wrenched a bit Saturday and Sunday and got one of them running.

We were close enough in the pits to a test fire to get teary eyed.

Thats part of the fun and to watch all the newbies run away.
U nfortunately I don't think many of them blip the throttle in the pits anymore.

Pro mods, pros stocks and factory stocks were, but nitro cars only idle in the pits.
